Our very few remaining solar eclipse glasses are BEING SAVED FOR MONDAY! We have had hundreds more calls than we have glasses, and none are available for "pickup."
Our meetup outside the back of the Evergreen Branch Library near the playground starts on Monday, August 21, 2017, 9 am *(until 11 am) to view the Solar Eclipse.

Do you want a suggestion on another way to safely view the eclipse?
Chief Meteorologist Wes Hohenstein…
Experience a Solar eclipse with library-provided free viewing glasses, thanks to the generosity of the Space Science Institute. - While supplies last. There are some glasses reserved especially for the Monday event.
When we get down to the last 25 pairs (or earlier if we have an excessive line), we will require recipients to agree that they will stay in the immediate area to share, as we want everyone to have the opportunity to experience viewing this unique astronomical event for at least a turn.
Free. No registration required. In the weeks leading up to the Solar Eclipse, Evergreen hosted many educational events and gave away over 900 of our grant for 1000 pairs of glasses.
See Monique's new SJPL blog about the eclipse: Backyard Amateur Astronomer.
To buy glasses, you may try the American Astronomical Society (AAS) Reputable Vendors of Solar Filters & Viewers (link is external) page. However, as of Wednesday, MOST of them are already sold out or cannot promise delivery before Monday.
