Lawyers in the Library

Lawyers in the Library will resume Monday, February 5, 2018.

Lawyers will be available to meet in-person at the library.

Lawyers in the Library is held on the 3rd Floor in Room 392 at the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Library.

The program starts at 6:00 PM and runs until 8:00 PM. The library is located on the corner of Fourth Street and East San Fernando Street, in downtown San José. The address is 150 East San Fernando Street, San José, CA 95112.

How to Make an Appointment

To make an appointment for a free, 20-minute legal consultation, you must call 408-808-2382 on Monday mornings starting at 10:00 AM for an appointment that same evening. Once the appointments slots are full, no further calls can be taken.

Your phone reservation guarantees you an appointment with a lawyer, but only if you are on time. If you are not on time, we cannot hold your appointment and will have to move on to the next client.

The library is closed on all major holidays. There will be no appointments on the following holidays in 2018:

  • Monday, February 19 - Presidents Day

The last appointment for Spring 2018 will be May 21.

Waikiki ALC

Waikiki ALC left a review 3/4/2018

I signed up for the session on Web (possible lawyer firms's website) and received confirmation. I went to the library but I was told I didn't have an appointment and I needed to call to make one, also that lawyer had cancelled the session. But I didn't get any notice of then cancellation and had already made a long trip to get there.
