The Lawyers in the Library program meets on the 2nd floor in Room 255 at the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Library.
The program starts at 6pm and runs until 8pm. The library is located on the corner of Fourth Street and East San Fernando Street, in Downtown San Jose. The address is 150 East San Fernando Street, San Jose, CA 95112.
How to Make an Appointment
To make an appointment for a free, 20 minute legal consultation, you must call 408-808-2382 on Monday mornings starting at 10 AM for an appointment for that same evening. There are only 10 phone reservations available per week and once the appointments slots are full, no further calls can be taken.
Your phone reservation guarantees you an appointment with a lawyer, but only if you are on time. If you are not on time, the lawyer cannot hold your appointment and will have to move on to the next client.
The library is closed on all major holidays. There will be no appointments on the following dates in 2016: October 10 & December 26. The last appointment for 2016 is Dec. 19th. Laywers will resume in 2017 on January 30.
