The Maker[Space]Ship will host a series of public STEAM projects, open to all ages, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church. Space on board is limited and open on a first come basis.

CANCELED - 2/23/17: DIY Paper Microscopes- This makerspace project invites youth and adults to design their own paper microscopes using index cards, tape and a ¼” plexiglass spheres. Since there is no one correct way to create a paper microscope, this project invites exploration and play. The workshop also offers the option of add in an LED light to illuminate the paper microscope. Participants will leave the workshop with a DIY science pocket tool enabling them to view their natural environment in new ways.
3/9/17: Paper Plate Pachinko- Come make a computer interactive musical paper plate maze! This project uses a conductive marble to complete simple circuitry connections on paper plates that are hooked up to a Makey Makey device and the block programming tool Scratch. The playful project highlights the importance of iterative design and problem solving.
