Registration starts June 19 at 2 p.m. The program runs June 26 - August 2 with two weekly sessions from 1:30 - 3:00 p.m. Mondays and Wednesdays.
Is your child struggling with reading or writing? Help is available this summer from Read Write Discover (RWD), a literacy tutoring program at the library. This free program targets students who are struggling or whose families face language barriers in their communities. High school students are trained to tutor youth in grades 1-8 on reading and writing. Tutors work with the same learners every week.
HOW TO REGISTER:
Registration must be in person by either the student or his/her parent, but a valid parent signature is required on the registration form and must be submitted in person at the Evergreen Branch library.
RWD registration will take place in person on Monday 6/19/2017 from 2-3 p.m in the Community Room. Twenty students will be accepted on a first come, first served basis. If spaces remain, registration will also be open again from 5-5:30 p.m. Tuesday, 6/20.
We will keep a waiting list, if any student does not show up at the first class or misses two sessions, that student's slot will be forfeited to the next person on the waiting list.
