Adam Benforado & Shaka Senghor: Silicon Valley Reads Joint Author Visit

Silicon Valley Reads authors Adam Benforado and Shaka Senghor will make a special joint appearance at Educational Park Library. 

Benforado will discuss his book with the audience.

Shaka Senghor is a leading voice in criminal justice reform and the President and Co-Founder of #BeyondPrisons, an initiative designed to uplift the voices and experiences of those impacted by the criminal justice system.  His memoir, Writing My Wrongs: Life, Death and Redemption in an American Prisondebuted on the New York Times bestseller list in March 2016, and is an official Silicon Valley Reads 2017 book selection.  Oprah Winfrey referred to her interview with Senghor as "one of the best I've ever had - not just in my career, but in my life ... His story touched my soul."  His TED talk has been viewed more than 1.3 million times and he continues to share his story of redemption around the world.
