Feeding Bodies and Fueling Success: June 12 – August 11
For the fourth year, San José Public Library is excited to provide a 9-week summer meal program in collaboration with the Summer Reading Challenge. Seven branch libraries will host the Free Summer Food Program from June 12 to August 11, 2017. The Library has partnered with several organizations to help fuel San José children's futures through healthy meals, fun activities, and new friends.
Who Can Participate?
Any child 18 years and under can participate in the program to get their fill of food and fun, receiving nutritious meals and snacks, while also enjoying recreational and learning activities to keep their bodies and minds active.
Program Kick-off Event
On Friday, June 2, Mayor Sam Liccardo, District 2 Councilmember Sergio Jimenez, City Librarian Jill Bourne, and other City officials, will help kick-off the Free Summer Food Program at Edenvale Branch Library. More details coming soon!
