Uchiwa Light-Up Dance Fans - A Teen Paper Circuitry Workshop

How would you design a fan to represent you? Come light-up your ideas in a paper circuitry project! Using Chibitronic circuit stickers, copper tape, coin cell batteries and laser cut fan frames, we will create fans that celebrate the diversity and rich blending of San Jose communities. The Uchiwa Light-Up Dance Fan workshops invites middle school and high school students to create illuminated patterns and designs that reflect their interests and cultures on the surface Japanese dance fans. The workshop will result in fans you can bring with you to Japantown Immersive in Japantown San Jose on May 12th (5:00pm-8:30pm).

Registration not required.  Supplies are limited.  This program is first come first serve.

Instructor: Corinne Okada Takara of Okada Design
